Nick Grimshaw will not return as a judge on The X Factor this year, and presenter Caroline Flack is also leaving the show, according to a report in The Sun.

A spokesman for Grimshaw, who spent just one season as a judge on the ITV show, told The Sun the Radio One presenter had decided to quit.

The programme is said to be undergoing a shake-up of its judging and presenting talent under the supervision of boss Simon Cowell after ratings fell in 2015.

One Direction star Louis Tomlinson is favourite to replace Grimshaw, although Cowell could bring back former judge Louis Walsh, according to the newspaper.
