Eagles Of Death Metal 'speechless' at Brit Awards nomination

Eagles Of Death Metal have said they are "speechless" after being nominated for a Brit Award.

The US rock band, whose Bataclan gig was targeted in the Paris terror attacks in which 130 people died, are up against U2 in the international group category.

Alabama Shakes, Major Lazer and Tame Impala are also nominated.

The Eagles returned to Paris in December - less than a month after the November 13 attacks - to join U2 on stage at the Accorhotels Arena.

There were emotional scenes as Bono told the audience: "They were robbed of their stage three weeks ago - we would like to offer them ours tonight."

After their Brit nomination was announced, Eagles Of Death Metal tweeted: "We are speechless. #BRITs Gigantic thanks to the @brits and to you all."
