'Paris we love you': Eagles of Death Metal return to Paris to perform with U2 - less than a month after Bataclan attack

Eagles of Death Metal proclaimed "Paris we love you" as they performed alongside U2 in the French capital - less than a month after their last concert was attacked by terrorists.

There were emotional scenes as U2 frontman Bono told the crowd at the AccorHotels Arena: "They were robbed of their stage three weeks ago - we would like to offer them ours tonight."

Eagles Of Death Metal frontman Jesse Hughes then took the mic and vowed: "Paris we love you and we will never give up rock and roll."

The two bands then performed Patti Smith's People Have the Power together before Eagles of Death Metal sang I Love You All The Time.

In a post on their Facebook page after the gig, Eagles of Death Metal thanked U2 saying they had "reminded us that the bad guys never take a day off, and therefore we rock 'n rollers cannot either ... and we never will".

The group were performing at the Bataclan when gunmen stormed the building, killing 90 concert-goers, making it the deadliest incident in a series of attacks across Paris on November 13 in which 130 people died.
