Text Santa: Downton Abbey cast get involved with Christmas charity sketch

The cast from hit show Downton Abbey have took filmed a short sketch in support of ITV's Text Santa Christmas Jumper Day.

Look out for Sir Bruce Forsyth, Gordon Ramsay, Gok Wan, Brenda Blethyn as Vera, Jim Broadbent and Warwick Davis in the special from 8pm on ITV1.

ITV will be broadcasting its star-studded annual fundraiser this evening, presented by Christine Bleakley, Alesha Dixon, Caroline Flack, Amanda Holden, Paddy McGuinness, Stephen Mulhern, Olly Murs, Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

The three-hour show will include sketches from Downton Abbey and Coronation Street, as well as live music and entertainment.

There will also be a performance from Louisa Johnson, the winner of this year’s X Factor.

The show will raise money for Text Santa’s charities: Macmillan Cancer Support, Make-A-Wish and Save the Children.

Text Santa is now in its fifth year and has so far raised over £21million for UK charities.
