Bindi Irwin has 'Dancing With The Stars' contract rejected as judge demands proof father Steve is dead
A judge has rejected a lucrative reality TV contract for the late Steve Irwin's daughter Bindi - demanding proof her father is really dead.
Bindi Irwin, now 17, lost her father in 2006.
She has made it through eight week of hit US show 'Dancing With The Stars' - but as a minor she needs her parents to give up their rights to the money she will make.
Despite Bindi's mother Terri signing the contract, the court judge refused to accept it without a signature from her father.
According to TMZ, the judge claimed he was "unable to find that it is in the best interest of the minor to be bound by the terms of the contract."
The contract would guarantee Bindi a basic salary of $125,000 (£82,185), with bonuses for each week that she remains on the show.
Up to now she has earned $230,000 (£151,221).
