Niall Horan: One Direction are not splitting up

One Direction's Niall Horan has reassured fans that the band are not splitting up.

The 21-year-old star confirmed he and his band mates would be taking "a "well-earned break at some point next year" but was quick to reassure fans "we are not splitting up."

Posting on Twitter, he said One Direction "still have lots we want to achieve."

It comes after thousands of 1D fans took to social media to voice their despair at reports the boy band was taking a year-long "hiatus" from next year - with rumours suggesting the break could turn out to be a permanent one.

Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne also posted a series of tweets, thanking fans for their support.

Rumours circulated after a report in The Sun that the pop stars were set to go their separate ways in March.
