Lord Sugar tells Katie Hopkins to 'shut up' after Twitter comments about Cilla Black's death
Lord Sugar has told Katie Hopkins to "shut up" after the former Apprentice contestant criticised celebrities who paid tribute to Cilla Black.
Lord Sugar was among the high-profile figures to tweet their condolences after the much-loved entertainer's death was confirmed.
But Hopkins slammed what she called the "rush to gush" over the 72-year-old.
Sugar took offence to Hopkins' remarks, telling her to "shut up idiot!".
The controversial reality TV star, who finished as runner-up on Celebrity Big Brother, swiftly responded.
But Lord Sugar hit back, accusing Hopkins of going "too far" and urging her to know "where to draw the line".
Black, who shot to fame in the 1960s, died at her home in southern Spain over the weekend.
She is believed to have died from natural causes although post-mortem results are still to be released.
Prime Minister David Cameron said Black was a "huge talent who made a significant contribution to public life" in the UK.
