Russia has staged a huge military parade in Moscow to mark the 70th anniversary of the end of World War Two.

Thousands of troops marched on Red Square and hundreds of armoured vehicles also made an appearance.

Among the armour on display was the Armata T-14, which will be Russia's first new battle tank to be deployed for 40 years.

More than 20 world leaders watched the parade including Chinese President Xi Jinping and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon but many others boycotted the event because of Russia's role in the Ukraine crisis.
