Unseen footage shows the Hillsborough tragedy unfold

The new footage which was shown in court to the jury and families of the deceased.

Unseen footage of the Hillsborough disaster, so familiar but still unexplained, was seen by a jury for almost an hour today - focusing on the 10 critical minutes of the unfolding disaster.

The Hillsborough families sat and watched as CCTV was played to the new inquests of the disaster 25 years ago.

ITV News correspondent Damon Green reports:

Compiled throughout the day from 2000 separate video clips from police, security and broadcast cameras, the footage painted a picture of the days events.

Families were given the opportunity to leave the room before the footage was shown in court, but no-one left. The inquest continues.
