Inquest jurors visit Hillsborough stadium
Inquests jurors arrive at Hillsborough
The jurors were provided with maps, plans and photographs to enable them to better understand the layout and appearance of the stadium as it was in April 1989. The former Waldsley Bridge railway station was the next point of interest. Heading towards the stadium
the convoy slowed for a moment as the coroner pointed out to the jury the White Horse public house, just north of Hillsborough in Waldsley Bridge, where some fans went on the day of the game. The former Waldsley Bridge railway station was the next point of interest. The coroner told them:
"Obviously it doesn't exist now but that's where (the fans) would have come from." The jury was then shown the area on Halifax Road, where the Liverpool fans' coaches had parked up on the day. It was here they got their first glimpse of the stadium before the coaches pulled into Leppings Lane.

Coroner leads jurors on stadium visit
The court made it's way along Leppings Lane with the coroner speaking through a microphone and the group wearing headsets."This is where the supporters would have walked, along here, along Leppings Lane," he told the jury.
The road was closed to traffic and passers by and people stopped to watch as the large group of more than 50 people slowly made it's way towards the West Stand.
Pointing out cones and tape outside the stand, the coroner said: "You will recall from what we have heard yesterday and in days before this area has fundamentally changed, but we have tried to illustrate what it would have been like."
He then described to the jury where the gates and fences had stood in 1989.

Inquest jury head to Hillsborough
The jury in the Hillsborough inquests have been sworn in ahead of their visit to Sheffield, where they will see for the first time the site of Britain's deadliest sports stadium disaster.
Jurors have been warned the stadium has changed significantly since the 96 Liverpool fans died twenty five years ago. The stadium is all-seated and the approach to Leppings Lane has been remodelled. The current police control room is also larger than it was in 1989, the jury has heard.
The panel have been prepared for the visit during this week's evidence, where they've seen a 3D model of the ground as it was, shown maps and watched minute-by-minute CCTV and BBC footage from the day.
The jury assembled at the court in Warrington at just after 8am where they were sworn in ahead of today's proceedings.
They will be accompanied accompanied by the coroner, Lord Justice Goldring, a number of legal representatives and court officials. The inquests will remain in session throughout the visit to Sheffield.
As well as visiting Hillsborough Stadium, jurors will be taken to other places relevant to the inquests.
