Queen praises public service as she "rededicates" herself to country

The Queen addressed members of parliament today as part of her Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

She described parliament as "an unshakeable cornerstone of our constitution and way of life" and said she was particularly pleased to addressing the younger members of the house.
