The Queen went to parliament today and made it clear that despite 60 years on the throne she has no intention of retiring.
She delivered the same message during her Golden Jubilee address 10 years ago.
Today the Queen, who will celebrate her 86th birthday next month, told a gathering of both houses of parliament that she would re-dedicate herself "to the service of our great country and its people now and in the years to come."
The Queen was speaking at Westminster Hall, where a specially commissioned stained glass window was unveiled to mark her Diamond Jubilee.
She was, she said, "touched by the magnificent gift before me."
The Queen had particular praise for the Duke of Edinburgh, who spent Christmas in hospital. She said:
"Prince Philip is, I believe, well known for declining compliments of any kind. But throughout he has been a constant strength and guide."
Despite her 60 years on the throne, the Queen shows no sign of slowing down.
She is about to embark on a series of Diamond Jubilee tours that will take to across England and to Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
