Charlene Mitchell and Scott Robinson
They stole the nation's hearts as Scott Robinson and Charlene Mitchell, but Jason Donovan and Kylie Minogue have come a long way since their young hearts found romance on Ramsay Street!
Arguably the soap's most famous export, Kylie Minogue has emerged as Australia's highest selling recording artist of all time! The tomboy mechanic turned princess of pop has sold more than 70 million records worldwide and had seven number one singles with a career spanning three decades ... and counting!
Jason Donovan has enjoyed a mixed acting and singing career! After several chart-topping hits and playing the lead in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Jason most recently embarked on the Ten Good Reasons tour.
'Plain Jane Superbrain' Harris
She became one of Australia's most recognisable faces after playing teenage super-geek Jane Harris who was transformed after shedding those infamous, over-sized glasses!
But after quitting the soap in 1989, actress Annie Jones took a 15-year hiatus from acting to care for her sick mother, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease in 1994. She later returned to the small screen after being given a cameo role in drama series Jack Irish alongside her former Neighbours co-star boyfriend Guy Pearce. She also popped up in a few episodes of Australian drama Wentworth Prison, which aired here in the UK on Channel 5.
Mike Young
He played Ramsay Street's bad boy Mike Young, but actor Guy Pearce's career took off in Hollywood after after quitting the soap in 1989. From lead roles in The Adventure of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert to L.A. Confidential, this once small town boy has become a major player in Hollywood!
Billy Kennedy
Thanks to his devilishly good looks and melt your heart smile, Australian actor Jesse Spencer stole teen hearts across the globe playing Erinsborough schoolboy Billy Kennedy.
But the Ramsay Street heartthrob went on to forge an impressive career, starring in the American medical drama House!
Anne Wilkinson
Since quitting her role as Anne Wilkinson in Neighbours, actress Brooke Satchwell has gone on to have a successful television career, cast in the Australian series Packed to the Rafters and Wonderland.
Jarrod 'Toadfish' Rebecchi
He joined the cast in 1995 as troubled and mischievous teen Jarrod 'Toadfish' or 'Toadie' Rebecchi, now actor Ryan Moloney is celebrating his 21st anniversary as the hugely popular Ramsey Street resident. In the video below, Ryan chats to Lorraine about his shock new storyline, which sees his wife Dee return from the dead after 13 years!
Dr Karl Kennedy
Alan Fletcher joined the cast of Neighbours in 1994 as the legendary Dr Karl Kennedy. But aside from being one of soap's most famous medics, Alan Fletcher is also a bit of a rockstar in his spare time, playing in a band called The Waiting Room, which has toured the UK and made many a guest appearance at UK universities.
Hands up who's asked Dr Kennedy about Susan's whereabouts on a drunken night out at the student union? Guilty!
Annalise Hartman
She first stepped onto Ramsay Street in 1993 and quickly became the subject of others' envy! Dubbed the blond bombshell and the man magnet, Annalise Hartman, played by actress Kimberley Davies, became synonymous with her countless on screen relationships, including that fleeting love affair with Lassiters' boss, Lou Carpenter! Yes, we'd rather forget that, too!
Since leaving the show 20 years ago, Kimberley has hosted Australian series Just Kidding, and enjoyed guest appearances in US show Ally McBeal. She also made a brief appearance in I'm A Celebrity Get me Out of Here, but quit due to a shoulder injury. Her reality days didn't end there - she went on to make the final of Dancing With the Stars in 2007.
Hannah Martin
She played angel-faced Hannah Martin, but former Neighbours child star Rebecca Ritters doesn't look like this anymore!
Now 31, Rebecca decided to follow an entirely different path after leaving the soap in 1999. Following a brief spell in modelling, Rebecca gave up acting altogether and is now a producer and broadcast journalist in Berlin.
Felicity 'Flick' Scully
Holly Valance joined Neighbours in 1999 with the Scully family as Felicity 'Flick' Scully, but left the show in 2002 to pursue her music career. She is now based in the UK and is married to British billionnaire Nick Candy.
Nina Tucker
Delta Goodrem made her debut appearance in Erinsborough in 2002 playing fresh-faced schoolgirl Nina Tucker, but she was forced to leave the show two years later when she was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
Delta went on to achieve global pop stardom, releasing tracks such as Born to Try and Lost Without You.
Connor O'Neill
He was the cheeky-chappy Irishman who made his Neighbours debut in 2002 as Connor O'Neill, and was best known for his friendship with Toadie. Actor Patrick Harvey originally portrayed the role of Connor between 2002 and 2006 and reprised his role for a guest stint in 2012.
