The champion won over audiences with his take on Sam Smith's The Writing's on The Wall and Randy Crawford's One Day I'll Fly Away, beating Finnish hopeful Saara Aalto.
The Bromley-born crooner was joined on stage by his fellow competitors to perform his new single, When Christmas Comes Around, written by Ed Sheeran.
On becoming the 13th X Factor winner, Matt told Lorraine: ''It's something that I've wanted for my entire life, and I never thought this day would come.
''I'm so grateful this has happened, I can't believe it.''
