Kara Tointon hints at possible Eastenders return

I'll never say never to anything...

Former Eastenders star Kara Tointon has hinted at a possible return to the square as she joined Lorraine to promote her brand new drama series The Halcyon.

The 33-year-old, who shot to fame playing Dawn Swann in the BBC 1 soap from 2005 to 2009, went on to star in popular shows such as Mr Selfridge, Strictly Come Dancing and the Sound of Music Live.

Asked if she'd return to Walford, the multi-talented actress told Lorraine 'never say never'.

Kara is currently playing the role of Betsey Day in ITV's brand new eight-part drama The Halcyon, which tells the story of a bustling and glamorous five star hotel at the centre of London society and a world at war.

The drama, set in 1940, shows London life through the prism of war and the impact it has on families, politics, relationships and work across every social strata - set to a soundtrack of the music of the era.

The Halcyon starts on Monday 2 January at 9pm on ITV.
