Matthew Todd: How to be gay and happy

We live in a very cruel and unkind society at the moment, I think we all need to be nicer to each other

Matthew Todd, editor of gay lifestyle magazine Attitude, wants to put a stop to homophobic bullying

Matthew Todd, editor of gay lifestyle magazine Attitude, joined Lorraine to discuss his new book, a part-memoir, part-revolutionary guide for the LGBT community on how to build happy secure lives and relationships, plus he reveals why Prince William is taking a historic stand against homophobic bullying.

In the book, Straight Jacket - How To Be Gay, Matthew talks about those who have been bullied for their sexuality and suffered from mental health problems such as anxiety, depression, addiction, suicidal thoughts and behaviour.

He also describes his own experiences and personal struggles of coming out.

The book's release comes in the same week that Prince William is due to appear on the front cover of Attitude magazine.

It is the first time a British royal has been photographed for the cover of an LGBT magazine.

Straight Jacket - How To Be Gay is out tomorrow.
