Adele Silva on her breast implant regrets

I want to be able to put a pencil back under them rather than a case

Adele Silva reveals why she's going under the knife to have her breast implants removed

Former Emmerdale actress Adele Silva has opened up about her cosmetic surgery woes, revealing she regrets having a breast enlargement at such a young age.

Adele, who played Kelly Windsor in the soap, first had breast enhancement surgery at the tender age of 22, but is now preparing to go under the knife once again to have them replaced and reduced.

Talking to Lorraine about her first operation 13 years ago, Adele said: “The initial reason was I had breast asymmetry, one slightly bigger than the other, so that was rectified but then [I had] an implant as well.''

As a regular on the pages of the so-called lad's mags, the actress, who welcomed a baby girl last year, said she felt pressure to look a certain way, and chose to have her breasts enlarged , from a B to a D cup, in a bid to boost her self-confidence.

“I think in the early 2000s, it was a very obvious look,'' she said.

Now a mother-of-one, Adele said she suffers from a sagging chest following pregnancy and regrets having the procedure.

''I think at that age you’re quite naive in thinking, you don't think about how it is going to take a toll on your body when you have children and things like that.”

Opening up about her decision to have the implants reduced, Adele said: “They’ve just kind of lost their, you know. I just feel like now I’d like a smaller implant ... gravity has taken it’s toll and pulled them downwards.

"I want to be able to put a pencil back under them, rather than a case!"
