Tina Moore on life with football icon Bobby Moore

It’s amazing to see your story being told

Tina Moore, wife of football legend Bobby Moore

Tina Moore, the former wife of late football icon and World Cup hero Bobby Moore, joined Lorraine on the sofa to chat about the memoirs of their love story that inspired a gripping new drama series.

Tina, now a great grandmother, was catapulted to fame when her husband - England captain Bobby Moore - lifted the World Cup in 1966.

I would have been more impressed if he'd had a proper job!

Swept up by the media frenzy and the nation's adoration, the childhood sweethearts were the original golden couple.

Now their love story has been turned into a three-part drama series, Tina and Bobby, documenting their epic love story from its humble beginnings as teenagers to the dizzy heights of superstardom.

Bobby is played by Granchester actor Lorne MacFadyen and Our Girl and Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan plays Tina.

Largely based on Tina's memoirs, the series tells the story from Tina's point of view and spans across four decades; opening in the late 50's when the pair first meet and ending in the 80's after their marriage breakdown.

In the book, titled Bobby Moore: By The Person Who Knew Him Best, Tina revealed how life suddenly became glamorous, with football moving "from the back page to the front page".

Tina and Bobby airs on ITV on Friday 13 January at 9pm.
