Corrie's Shelley King on the danger of stroke
Coronation Street actress Shelley King joined Lorraine on the sofa this morning to share her support for National Stroke Awareness Month.
Shelley's mother, a life-long Coronation Street fan, died after suffering a stroke 18 years ago, which meant she never got to see her daughter in action on the cobbles.
Shelley, who plays Yasmeen Nazir, has had a tough time since arriving in Weatherfield, but she insists things are starting to look up for her character.
''I think things are getting better; she's getting more involved in the community, she's sorting things out for Cathy and Brian,'' Shelley told Lorraine.
