Pro Green opens up about Millie Mackintosh split
Professor Green has told Lorraine that focusing on a series of documentaries last year was a welcome distraction from his personal life following his highly publicised split with Made In Chelsea star Millie Mackintosh.
The rapper, whose two-year marriage to the reality star turned fashion guru broke down last year, began presenting a series of documentaries about issues affecting modern day Britain, including suicide and homelessness, during a short break from his music career.
In an interview with Lorraine, Professor Green - real name Stephen Manderson - said the projects helped him through his own personal struggles.
"It was fortunate when [the documentaries] fell, when all that other stuff was going on and being sensationalised, I was able to focus on things I really care about and I think are important," he said.
The 33-year-old, who has a brand new single out today called Active, also spoke about Mariah Carey’s disastrous New Year’s Eve gig, which saw her storm off stage following a sorry technical saga, and the possibility of duetting with fellow Lip Sync Battle UK host and former Spice Girl Mel B!
Lip Sync Battle returns for a second series tonight on Channel 5 at 10pm.
