Prime Minister Theresa May praises Change and Check

Prime Minister Theresa May has praised Lorraine's lifesaving breast cancer awareness campaign, launched by producer Helen Addis. In a letter to MP Craig Tracey, the prime minister wrote: 'I would like to congratulate Helen for the excellent work she has done.'

The letter comes following a question posed by MP for North Warwickshire and Bedworth, Craig Tracey, about the campaign during PMQs last week.

Lorraine Producer Helen Addis, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2018, is the brains behind the campaign which sees 'reminder' stickers being placed in bathrooms and changing facilities across the UK. Since launching the campaign in late April, Change and Check stickers have been distributed in changing rooms nationwide in stores such as John Lewis and Partners, ASDA, Warehouse and David Lloyd Gyms. The Metropolitan Police have also joined the campaign, placing 10,000 stickers in their sites across London. The simple idea of getting people to check for the signs of breast cancer whilst getting changed has also been endorsed by celebrities like Emma Bunton, Kelly Osbourne, Naomi Campbell, Sheryl Crow and even Madonna!
