Neil and Kevin are heading to Edinburgh Fringe
What's great about this writing is that it's as fresh and funny as the day it was written
Neil Pearson and Kevin McNally are two of the UK's most hotly in demand stage and screen actors. And like other British talent they've received that lucrative call from Hollywood.
Neil's starred alongside Renne Zellweger in the cult classic Bridget Jones Diary and Kevin has plays Johnny Depp's right-hand man in the hugely successful Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
Neil recently made a chance discovery of some missing Tony Hancock scripts and it's led to them taking a new stage show to this year's Edinburgh Fringe. He said, "This is in effect, a new Hancock's half hour."
Kevin was more than happy to act scenes made famous by great comedy pedigree. He said, "I've loved Hancock all my life since my dad introduced me to him in the 60s."
Neil and Kevin are hoping that their version will please fans of the originals. Neil said, "We're trying to recreate what it would be like to be to go to the original recording."
Both men are no stranger to the bright lights of Hollywood and working with the Hollywood elite. Kevin has just returned from Australia where he has been filming alongside Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean. He said, "We've just made the 5th instalment in Australia. It was great to get back our there."
