Luke Evans is encouraging men to speak openly about their mental health
Hollywood actor Luke Evans joined Lorraine to talk about why he's supporting Christmas Jumper Day, the importance of looking after your mental health and working with Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler.
Luke, who has previously spoken about having therapy for his own mental wellbeing, is encouraging others, especially men, to speak more openly about mental health. "Being mentally aware of your wellbeing, psychologically, is important. We all carry baggage around with us. Men definitely carry it way deeper than women most of the time...Better to talk about it, get it out and not be ashamed of it."
This festive season, Luke is working with Save The Children on their Christmas Jumper Day campaign which takes place on 14th December. He recently visited Lebanon with the charity to witness the work they're doing with refugees first hand. “Lucky seems to be the wrong word, but I did feel lucky to go there because you see on the news and you hear stories, when you actually go there and meet the kids and the families and hear their stories and where they’ve come from, it’s incredible."
