De-crowned Miss GB: 'It was the biggest mistake'
I made the biggest mistake of my life
Former Love Island contestant Zara Holland has spoken of her regret after being stripped of her Miss Great Britain title after she had sex with a fellow contestant on the ITV2 reality show.
The 20-year-old blonde beauty, who quit the show after her mother fell ill, apologised for her X-rated behaviour with fellow contestant Alex Bowen as she spoke of her regret.
In her first TV interview, Zara told Lorraine: "It literally was in the moment and it was the biggest mistake ever. "If I could go back in time and change it I would, I never wanted to lose my Great Britain title."
Zara was de-crowned after pageant bosses concluded her behaviour was unacceptable and they could no longer promote her as a 'positive role model'.
But Zara says 'the worst thing' was the fact she had let her mum down.
"I never wanted to let my mum down, we're best friends, we have a very special bond," she said. "I never wanted to let my family down - that was the worst thing."
