Lorraine’s Inspirational Woman of the Year finalists revealed
This week we’ll be revealing our three finalists for Lorraine’s Inspirational Woman of the Year award.
Judges Lorraine Kelly, Victoria Milligan, Miriam González Durántez and Katherine Jenkins undertook the incredibly hard task of whittling all of your nominations down to just three finalists, and this week Dr Hilary will be surprising them with the good news.
Peyton Melling
On Monday’s show, Dr Hilary travelled to Garforth in Leeds to surprise our first finalist, Peyton Melling. 23-year-old Peyton lost her soldier dad to PTSD, but has been campaigning tirelessly in his honour to help others affected by the condition, including completing a 82 mile hike for the charity Combat Stress.

Alia Jones
On Tuesday’s show, Dr Hilary joined us live from Hayes in Middlesex where we surprised our second finalist for Lorraine’s Inspirational Woman of the Year award - Alia Jones - on her way back from the school run. After her husband died suddenly, leaving behind their two children, Alia founded HALO Children’s Foundation, a charity dedicated to helping bereaved children.

Alex Eades
On Wednesday’s show, Dr Hilary was in Brighton to surprise the third and last finalist for this year’s Inspirational Woman Of The Year award, Alex Eades. Alex tragically lost her daughter to brain cancer when she was just 19, and has since set up charity Charlotte’s BAG, which raises funds for research into the cancer that killed her daughter.
