JJ Chalmers announced as latest star to join Strictly Come Dancing
JJ Chalmers has become the latest celebrity to join Strictly Come Dancing.
The former marine, TV presenter and Invictus Games medalist told Lorraine that he was looking forward to the new challenge.
As for all the fake tan and glittery costumes that are synonymous with Strictly, JJ is going to get stuck in.
"I’m always looking for a challenge. I’m always looking to push myself outside my comfort zone and if I wanted to find a challenge in life like climbing Everest or the North Pole, of course, they would be difficult but it would be within my comfort zone essentially because it’s the kind of thing that I’m used to having done in my life," he said.
"This is completely off the chart and so it’s going to be a huge challenge but I’m really looking forward to learning something brand new."
Responding to Lorraine's question about the costumes, JJ added: "I think you’ve got to go into these things you’ve got to give it everything. From a physical point of view, from a mental point of view, I’m going to immerse myself into the process and to be able to do that, I’ve got to go the whole hog with the costumes, the glitter and everything else."
