JB tries the farmer's life

He'll definitely get himself dirty on the farm and I hope that will broaden his horizons and give him a different insight into life.

JB Gill on his son Ace

Swapping the comfort of a recording studio for cleaning out pig-pens and rounding up chickens, former JLS star JB Gill talks to Gaby about pursuing his passion for farming, TV presenting and representing England for the first ever Rugby Aid game.

The singer has been busy presenting a CBeebies series called Down On The Farm, which explores countryside life as well as preparing for the big match on September 4, which has been billed as rugby's version of Soccer Aid.

He added there is no pressure on his baby son Ace to get involved in farming: "The sky is the limit for him. I want him to be whatever he is happy with.

"He'll definitely get himself dirty on the farm and I hope that will broaden his horizons and give him a different insight into life."

But when questioned if he had succeeded in getting his former bandmates down to muck in on the farm, he replied: "In a word, no!"

"The jury is still out on that at the moment. I'll defiintely still try and get them down. I know Marvin's daughter Alaia-Mai likes the farm so I can rely on her!"

Are former pop stars trying out farming a new trend? Check out Abz from 5ive talking about his experience on Good Morning Britain!
