James Tanner
I started out in the catering industry washing up for pocket money at 12 years old then got hooked on food, worked for the Roux Brothers in London and New York and for the two Michelin Star chef Martin Blunos.
I opened my first restaurant Tanners in 1999 then Barbican Kitchen in 2006, The Kentish Hare pub in 2014, and promoted food on many TV shows since 2002.
The first thing I do in the morning is: Make a cup of tea
If I could cook for anyone in the world it would be: Robert Deniro
The most famous person in my phone is: Paddy McGuinness
My favourite memory from working on Lorraine: There have been many but spraying Lorraine with cookie dough from a mixer on live television always makes me chuckle!
If I wasn’t a chef, I’d be: A racing driver, rock star or an Actor!
