Gary Lucy does The Full Monty
There's some clever trickery around it
Gary Lucy joined Gaby to talk about playing the lead role in the touring stage adaptation of The Full Monty and his new bundle of joy, daughter Sadie Rose.
The play, which has been touring since September, is based on the 1997 British film about six unemployed Sheffield steelworkers, and the character of Gaz, played by Robert Carlyle in the film, who form a male strip troupe to make ends meet.
Talking about his debut theatre role, Gary said, "What a great opportunity to come in on such an iconic British film that 's been transferred to the stage so well and so successfully."
He admitted he felt nervous when he first got his kit off on stage but revealed, ''there's some clever trickery to it''.
Gary also talked about juggling work with family life and the arrival of new addition, six-week-old Sadie Rose.
THEATRE: The Full Monty UK Tour is on now until December 5 - and then extended into 2016, after a Christmas break
