Froyo fruit bites recipe

These delicious bite-sized treats are brilliantly moreish and great on the go.

Makes 14 small cubes

Prep: 10 minutes, plus freezing time

Choose any full fat flavour Onken yogurt. Each 200g yogurt makes 14 ice cubes

Ingredients:200g Onken Natural Set Yogurt200g Onken Coconut Yogurt200g Onken Mango, Papaya and Passion Fruit YogurtFew handfuls fresh fruits, blueberries, mango (finely chopped) raspberries (lightly crushed) and strawberries (finely chopped)

Method:

  • In a bowl lightly mix the fruit of your choice with any of the yogurts.

  • Use a spatula or teaspoon to fill ice cube moulds with the fruit and yogurt mixture. Scrape off the excess. Gently tap the tray on the work surface to release any air bubbles.

  • Freeze for 2-3 hours or until set. Do not freeze for too long, as they will become too firm. If they do become too firm remove from the freezer and allow to soften for a few minutes.

  • Fill a deep dish with hot water immerse the base of the ice cube tray into the water. Remove then pop the bites out of the moulds to serve. Best eaten after removing from the freezer for a few minutes.

To store, place the yogurt bites in a small, re-sealable freezer-safe container or freezer bag and return to the freezer. They will keep for up to 1 month.

TIP: Fruit is naturally sweet, but add a drizzle of honey to the yogurt if you like. Use any fruits, fresh or dried work well.
