Elijah goes from hobbits to horror!
It was an extraordinary life experience
Elijah Wood, 34, made his Hollywood debut aged just eight in Back To The Future II and his career has gone from strength to strength since, most notably taking on the role of Frodo Baggins in the Peter Jackson's Lord Of The Rings film trilogy.
Today he joins Lorraine to chat about his new horror comedy Cooties, of which he is leading actor and a co-producer!
The film sees a ridiculously rancid chicken nugget in a cafeteria cause an outbreak of zombie-style cannibalism at a rural elementary school. Soon the teachers are having to battle their own pupils who begin to crave flesh...
"It's about a virus that breaks out in a school. It turns children who haven't gone through puberty yet into savages," Elijah told Lorraine.
"We had so much fun making the film."
Recalling his Lord Of The Rings experience, Elijah said it was unlike anything he'd experienced before.
"It was an extraordinary life experience. It was very special."
Cooties is out on DVD on 12 October.
