Duncan James talks Priscilla Queen of the Desert
It's quite scary how it transforms you ... it does give you confidence
Former Blue star Duncan James joins Lorraine to reveal why he's getting in touch with his feminine side for his latest stage role.
Duncan, who has confirmed once and for all he is a gay man, plays drag queen Tick, aka Mitzi, in the touring production of Priscilla Queen of The Desert.
The theatre show is based on the original movie and tells the heart-warming story of the adventure three friends (two drag queens and a transgender woman) have on board a battered old bus, whilst they are searching for love and friendship.
''It's such a wonderful story and it's got so many lovely and important messages," Duncan told Lorraine, admitting he sees many similarities between himself and his character.
''I had my own journey coming out and having a child. It's very similar to Tick," he said.
Duncan, the fourth member of boyband Blue, made his West End stage debut as Billy Flynn in Chicago, following with a leading role in the musical, Legally Blonde alongside Sheridan Smith.
