Phyllis Logan's charity work with dementia

Downton Abbey's Mrs Hughes, actress Phyllis Logan joins Lorraine to talk about personal experiences of dealing with dementia as an ambassador for the charity Dementia UK.

Two years ago, Phyllis was asked to take part in the first Time For A Cuppa campaign to raise awareness as part of Dementia UK. Since then, she has become an ambassador for the charity. Phyllis believes that this is a disease we should all want to learn more about and try and understand better.

Thanks to last year's Time For A Cuppa appeal, a thousand more families receive support from an Admiral Nurse. Dementia UK runs a national helpline, Admiral Nursing Direct, which is open Monday to Friday and is the only Nurse-led dementia helpline in the country. To find out more go to www.dementiauk.org.
