Debbie Rush
British actress and devoted mum of three Debbie Rush is best known for her current role as Anna Windass in Coronation Street.
It was at the age of 35 that Debbie decided life was too short to put her acting ambitions on hold and trained to be an actress whilst still bringing up three young children. The hard work paid off and following this, she appeared on Shameless and Hollyoaks in the City before landing her leading role in 2008 on Coronation Street.
Debbie lives in Lancashire with husband Andrew and their three children Tom, Poppy and William. When she decided to enrol at the Manchester School of Acting, Poppy and William followed suit.
Debbie enjoys her charity work and is an ambassador for Ronald Mcdonald House. This is an independent charity which aims to provide free ‘home away from home’ accommodation at hospitals across the UK, enabling families to stay close to their child and maintain a degree of normal family life.
In March 2013 she was invited to a reception hosted by Samantha Cameron at No 10 Downing Street to celebrate the work of the charity over the last 23 years.
