Claire Goose on new series The Coroner
It was a very intense job, but it was probably the most fun I've ever had on a job
After leading roles in Casualty and The Bill, actress Claire Goose is back on our screens starring in a new daytime crime series.
The Coroner follows Jane Kennedy, played by Goose, a high-flying solicitor who returns to the small seaside town she escaped as a teenager to take up the post of Coroner.
Jane is the advocate for the dead, whose job is to investigate any sudden, violent or unexplained deaths.
She finds herself forced to work with Davey, the boy who broke her heart in her teens, and is now local Detective Sergeant. Together, Jane and Davey work for justice on a new story in each episode.
The series is set in the fictional world of Lighthaven, based in Salcombe, in the beautiful South Hams of Devon.
"It's something I'm very proud of," Claire told Lorraine.
The new BBC drama series starts today.
