Christmas SOS: Cranberry sauce
Homemade cranberry sauce really adds something special to your Christmas dinner - here'sDean Edwards' version, which uses port, cloves and star anise for an extra tasty kick.
Ingredients:
500g fresh cranberries250ml portJuice and grated zest of one orange100g golden caster sugar1 star anise3 cloves1 stick cinnamon
Method:
Place all of the ingredients into a pan apart from the cranberries
Stir over the heat until the sugar has dissolved, add the cranberries and cook for 8-10 minutes until thick and reduced. Remove the anise, cinnamon stick and cloves and cool slightly before serving.
