Amanda Barrie shows no signs of slowing down!
She's 81 but Coronation Street veteran Amanda Barrie is showing no signs of slowing down! In fact, the former Bad Girls and Carry On star has told Lorraine she's busier than ever as she juggles various projects.
Amanda will be joining a whole host of senior stars for a brand new series of The Real Marigold Hotel, which sees the group embark on a journey of a lifetime to India to test if they would consider retiring to the other side of the world.
But the energetic actress told Lorraine that she herself has no intention of calling time on her career anytime soon, and even if retirement was on the cards, she wouldn't want to do it in India!
As well as The Real Marigold Hotel, Amanda has been to Tel Aviv to shoot a brand new series, where she revealed she had mastered operating a segway, and she has been busy filming a new four-part series Bus Pass Bandits.
Asked about her age-defying secrets, Amanda likened herself to a fine red wine, insisting she's got better with age.
She quipped: ''I often think to myself, I'll go to the British Museum later because at least there'll be something older than me there."
The second series of The Real Marigold Hotel hits our screens tonight tonight at 9pm on BBC1.
