Race instruction guides in a workplace
Do white people need an instruction book to be able to talk to BAMEs (Black Asian Minority Ethnics) in the office?
Some of Britain’s biggest employers will be handing out pocket guides for people, after a survey revealed 66 percent of workers felt uncomfortable about having a conversation about race.
This morning the booklet’s author Sandra Kerr joined us, along with broadcaster Edward Adoo, who thinks the guide could scare people off having normal conversations.
