Your biological clock could be longer than you think

It's really not until you get to about 44, 45 that there's a really sharp turn off

Prof Robert Winston says women are fertile for longer than we're led to believe

He's a doctor, a scientist, a broadcaster... and proud dad of James Corden's producer, who just happens to be best mates with Harry Styles!

There was much to chat about with Professor Robert Winston this morning, including his new science book for children, his views on Brexit and why women in their 30s might not be leaving it too late to have children after all.

He told Piers and Susanna that despite regular reports that women are risking missing out on parenthood by delaying conception, there is a "conflict of interest" with private clinics wanting to start fertility treatment on younger women.

"Actually, even at the age of 40, your chances of getting pregnant spontaneously are pretty good if you keep trying", he told us.

"It's really not until you get to about 44, 45 that there's a really sharp turn off."

And we couldn't help but ask what Harry Styles is REALLY like - and Prof Robert has nothing but good words to say about the One Direction star, who he described as "a very charming, very courteous, very responsible individual"!
