Grenfell Tower fire: First victim named
Seventeen people have died and the death toll is expected to rise after a massive fire broke out in the Grenfell Tower in West London near White City in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Two hundred and fifty firefighters have been tackled the blaze from 12.45am as eyewitnesses reported the sound of screams coming from residents trapped within.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown
Seventeen people have died and many more are missing
Officials say 78 people have been taken to hospital so far, with 18 critical
The fire consumed almost the entire 24-storey building
Reports say people were throwing their children from windows in a desperate bid to get them to safety
Good Morning Britain saw one man, said to be in his 70s, and partially blind praying at his window as emergency services tried to save him. He was rescued after midday and is thought to be in Intensive Care.
Survivors have said they didn't hear any fire alarm as they escaped

Mohammed was a 23-year-old Syrian refugee
He was a civil engineering graduate at the University of West London and was described by his co-worker as a "kind" and "charitable" man
