Sharp rise in motorists using mobiles is UK's biggest road safety concern

An RAC study out today has revealed that illegal mobile phone use whilst driving is the biggest road safety concern in the UK.

We speak to the father of teenager Liberty Baker who died two years ago after being hit by a driver who was allegedly distracted by his phone at the time of the crash.

With the rate of mobile phone use at the wheel rising significantly, Liberty's father Paul Baker describes the situation as devastating and says that drivers don't have any fear of getting caught using their phones on the road.

According the the report, 31 percent of motorists admitted to using a handheld phone at the wheel while 12 percent said using a phone whilst driving was a habit.
