Shrien Dewani trial - the story so far
The trial of Shrien Dewani may well be thrown out by a judge later today at the request of Mr Dewani's lawyers, it has emerged.
How did this Bristol businessman find himself on trial for the murder of his wife Anni on their honeymoon in South Africa?
The prosecutions accused Dewani of killing his wife to 'get out' of his marriage because he was a closet homosexual
They said Dewani, who has come out as bisexual, hired three men (Mziwamadoda Qwabe, Zola Tongo, Xolile Mngeni) after conspiring with Monde Mbolombo to murder Anni
Dewani denies murdering Anni but has admitted to paying for sessions with male bondage prostitutes
Anni's grieving family are urging Dewani to take the stand to answer questions under oath and say they will sue him in a British court for not disclosing his sexuality before the wedding, if the trial collapses
