One in three British children is classed as overweight making childhood obesity one of the biggest challenges facing the NHS.
Labour plan to tackle this problem and plan to half the obesity rate by banning junk food adverts during kids’ TV shows.
Earlier we were joined by Labour’s Shadow Health Secretary Jonathan Ashworth who told us that obesity is costing the NHS £6 billion.
Despite announcing Labour's anti child obesity plan, the Shadow Health Secretary admitted to occasionally taking his "kids to McDonald's". Maybe he should have kept that secret to himself.
