Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sign TV deal with Netflix
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have signed a deal with Netflix.
The Duke and Duchess are set to make programmes in their latest roles since leaving the Royal Family.
Appearing on Good Morning Britain, ITV News Royal Editor Chris Ship said: "The deal is reportedly worth tens of millions of pounds. Whilst they won’t give us the details of exactly how much this deal is for, it gives Harry the financial independence that he spoke about when they announced they wanted to leave the Royal Family."
It is thought that the couple will make documentaries, films and children’s shows for the streaming service.
Explaining how the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's new role will see them becoming TV producers, Chris continued: "They want to use their passions. They’ve got this charity foundation called Archewell and they’re going to use those ideas, the things they care about the most to channel that into Netflix programming.
"Effectively they’re becoming TV producers. This isn’t about Meghan returning to acting."
