Lorraine calls out Jennifer Arcuri for refusing to answer Boris affair questions

During an interview with Jennifer Arcuri on Good Morning Britain, Lorraine took the opportunity to ask a few questions of her own.

Lorraine Kelly questioned Jennifer Arcuri over her appearance on Good Morning Britain, after the US businesswoman refused to confirm whether she had an affair with Boris Johnson during his time as London Mayor.

Jennifer told Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid that she had been left 'heartbroken' following allegations of an affair but refused to confirm or deny the details surrounding their 'special relationship', claiming: "I just don't want to give a definitive answer."

Commenting on Acuri's elusive interview, Lorraine said: "God, that was crazy wasn't it? What's the point of coming on and not answering any questions? What's the point in that?"

At that moment, Piers asked the former model and tech entrepreneur if she had a response to the daytime presenter's question.

To which she replied: "I'm sorry? I believe I said a few things, what is it that you were looking for that I should say?"

"Well you didn't answer any of the questions that were put to you," Lorraine said before adding: "and I just don't see the point in you coming on, to be honest."

Lorraine's comments came after Jennifer told Good Morning Britain how Boris Johnson has blocked her calls since the scandal and accused the prime minister of treating her like one of his 'fleeting one night stands.'

She said: " I felt as though I could talk to him about anything, at any point no matter how busy he was. He always made time to answer the phone and for the last ten years I've dealt directly with him."

Speaking about the moment Mr Johnson 'hung up' the last time she tried to contact him. She explained: " I asked why did you block me? and I just thought what a slap in the face."

Jennifer added: "My life is still being written about, I'm still being quoted, I'm still having rumours being spread about me. When does it end?"

Boris Johnson has insisted there was "no impropriety" about the taxpayer grants awarded to a tech company run by Jennifer Arcuri when he was Mayor of London.
