EXCLUSIVE: Hero bus driver speaks on the mystery Putney pusher

If she would have died I would have lived with this weight on my shoulders for the rest of my life

This morning we spoke exclusively to bus driver Olivier Salbris, who amazingly saved the life of a pedestrian pushed into the path of his bus by a jogger.

The unknown woman escaped with minor injuries after a male runner knocked her into the road as she walked over Putney Bridge and quick-thinking Olivier swerved the bus at the very last second, narrowly missed her. He said: “It just happened so quickly, I’m just glad I was able to react in time, because who knows if I didn’t.”

Olivier expressed his relief that the woman survived the shocking incident and his desire for the police to catch the perpetrator.
