'We don't know where they are': Fears for family as blaze engulfs tower block

A man whose family is feared to be trapped inside a burning block of flats in West London has told GMB he is desperately waiting for news.

Firefighters are currently tackling the blaze at the 27-storey Grenfell Tower in West Kensington.

Ahmed Chellat has not been able to locate his sister, brother-in-law, and three children, who live on the 21st floor, since the fire engulfed the building in the early hours of this morning.

''They were advised not to come out of the place, and to put white towels under the doors,'' he told Piers and Susanna.

''They told me they (firefighters) were coming to help, that was the last time I spoke to them.''

There are fears the tower is unstable and could collapse.
