'My abusive girlfriend threatened to kill me'

I was just waiting to die

Alex Skeel says he doesn't want others to suffer as he did

Alex Skeel was repeatedly hit with weapons including hammers and screwdrivers, had boiling water poured over him and has scars from where he was stabbed with a bread knife.

All of this happened at the hands of his ex-girlfriend Jordan Worth, the mother of his two children, in what a police officer described as the worst case of domestic abuse he had seen.

In April last year, Jordan became became the first female in the UK to be convicted of controlling or coercive behaviour and was jailed for two consecutive seven-year sentences.

For more information and advice for victims of domestic abuse, ManKind Initiative, the charity for victims of male domestic abuse, have a helpline number: 0182 333 4244.
