Team GB's golden Saturday

Ed McKeever stormed to victory in the 200m kayak sprint yesterday. Today, he's been admiring the post box, painted gold to mark his Olympic achievement

Almost 16 million people tuned in to watch Tom Daley fulfil his dream of earning an Olympic medal last night. Just under 13 million watched Mo Farah secure his place as one of Britain's greatest athletes:

• 15.9 million watched Daley win a bronze medal in the 10m diving on BBC One, BBC Three and BBC Olympics 2 (red button)
• Peak audience of 12.9 million saw the moment that Farah claimed a second gold of the Games in the 5,000m

• Canoe Sprint star Ed McKeever was watched by 2.9 million as he got Team GB's day off to a Gold medal-winning start yesterday

Tom Daley is already turning his attention to Olympic glory in Rio de Janeiro in four years' time. He said he was "over the moon" with winning bronze last night. But speaking to BBC Radio Five Live he added:

"Most people peak in diving at about 22, that's just in time for the Rio Olympics so that'll hopefully be my performance peak... I've got four more years, it's about building strength, building consistency and getting even better."

Tom Daley has posted a picture on Twitter to remind himself of the moment he dreamt of getting a medal at the London 2012 Olympics, alongside the performance that turned that into a reality.

The painters are already busy in Teddington today. The finishing touches are being put to the second gold post box to honour Mo Farah.

After winning bronze in the Aquatic Centre last night Tom Daley was up early today, proudly talking about his Olympic success. Speaking to BBC TV he also spoke about the problems he had with people taking pictures while he dived:

"There were lots of flashes. As I took off I twisted that way [towards the crowd] and all the flashes distracted me... It means so much all the sacrifice, dedication, hard work, it's good to have something to show for it... it feels great...

I've been secretly telling myself the pressure is fine and all good... but deep down my heart was going, but I could do no more. I went out and gave it everything."
