Murder inquiry launched as police reveal man found dead in Scunthorpe was stabbed

Police have started a murder inquiry after confirming a man found dead in a Scunthorpe alleyway had been stabbed.

The body of 25-year-old Kyle Bell was found just off Mary Street near the town centre by officers investigating the alleged assault of another man early yesterday morning.

Several streets in the neighbourhood were closed off yesterday and detectives have now asked for bin collections in the area to be suspended for five days while they continue their investigation.
